RBC young leaders 2013/14 - EDUCATIONAL DIVERSITY
Tranquillity Secondary School took part in the RBC Royal Bank Young Leaders Programme for a second time. Last year, we placed 11th and this year we placed 4th and walked away with two trophies, certificates for participants and $3000 towards the school. We were so proud of the efforts of our Young Leaders, who also called themselves "the Bright Future Ambassadors!"

Preparing for the project:
Our project was entitled "Educational Diversity." The main goal of the Bright Future Ambassadors was to make learning fun, to teach the importance of education and, at the same time, promote the notion that we all learn differently and are smart in our own way!
OUR MOTTO WAS: EDUCATION IS NOT RECEIVED, IT'S ACHIEVED!! ~~ ALBERT EINSTEIN

There were many ways that these Young Leaders attempted to fulfill such a tall order. These included:
- Establishing a Homework Centre
- A mentorship programme
- Using Scrabble, Spelling and debates in the classroom
- Literacy Walk to Woodford Square
- Literacy Awareness and Education ribbons
- A Wall Mural outside of the school
- Fundraisers
- A visit to the Primary School to promote our project
- Displaying the Iron Man costume made by one of our own students (Vishnu Joseph) to highlight that we are all intelligent!
